Stress is one of the greatest causes of illnesses such as pasty butt. It is always advisable to minimise stress levels to chickens to ensure they stay healthy.

To help minimise stress levels in chickens, always give stresspack:

  • From day 1 up to day 5 of arrival of chicks.
  • After transportation from one location to another. Give plenty of water on arrival of chicks or grown up birds.
  • After any disturbance or frightful event or noise either by dogs or any animal.
  • After changing diet or feed, which should be done gradually.
  • When your birds are exposed to too much heat or cold.
  • When your birds are weak don’t rush to give antibiotics, they could just be stressed.

Natural herbs such as crushed aloe vera (gavakava) mixed with drinking water also helps in reducing stress levels in chickens.
