Job Description:
The main purpose of the role is to provide strong leadership for an integrated infant poultry business. This position requires a go-getter with a blend of entrepreneurial skills, strategic management, broiler production, processing production, Quality Control (including managing the route to ISO Certification), sales and marketing, distribution and logistics, finance, people and talent development, stakeholder management and legal & general administration.
Requirements:
• Experience: 15+ years poultry experience (of which 5+ years senior management experience).
• Education: Relevant agriculture or animal science qualifications.
Technical skills:
• Poultry Operations: Deep understanding of poultry farming practices, including feeding, watering, vaccination, and maintaining optimal living condition.
• Biosecurity & Health: Proficiency in biosecurity measures and procedures to ensure bird health and prevent disease outbreaks.
• Resource Management: Skills in developing and managing budgets, procuring supplies, and optimizing resource allocation for efficiency.
• Farm Management: Experience with farm machinery operation and maintenance.

Leadership & Soft-skills:
• Staff Management: Proven ability to recruit, train, and develop farm employees, ensuring they work safely and effectively.
• Communication: Strong communication skills for interacting with employees, worker forums, and potentially trade unions.
• Compliance: Knowledge of health and safety and other regulations to ensure a safe working environment.
